William J. Alcorn

William J. Alcorn recently retired as Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Procurement Officer for JCPenney Company. He worked at JCPenney since 1968. Previous positions at JCPenney included Vice President and Director of Credit, Vice President and Assistant Controller and Controller of the Catalog Division. Bill was born in Kentucky but grew up in St Petersburg, Florida. He graduated from University of Florida in 1971 with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting. He is a CPA and a member of the AICPA, the Texas Society of CPA’s and the Financial Executives International. He is the Vice Chair of the Board of the Dallas Zoological Society, on the Board of the Dallas Women’s Museum and co-chairing their capital fundraising campaign, on the Board of CONTACT Crisis Line and currently the Chief Financial Officer of the North Texas Food Bank.
At the University of Florida, he serves on the University of Florida Executive Advisory Board for the David F Miller Center for Retailing Education and Research, the University of Florida Foundation Board of Directors and the Dallas Regional Committee. He and his wife Patti reside in Frisco, Texas.
